Description Ray Rashif 2011-05-23 10:38:23 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.3)
OS: Linux

The files of a torrent download, which have been fully leeched and completely downloaded, gets deleted if the torrent download is cleared/removed from the list while it is still seeding.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download torrent
2. Open torrent with kget
3. Wait until download (leeching) is finished but is uploading (seeding)
4. Select the torrent download in the list and "remove" it

Actual Results:
The downloaded files are deleted and are nowhere to be found.

Expected Results:
The downloaded files are kept and only the download transaction is cleared from the list.

Or, alternatively, it should ask for confirmation whether to delete downloaded content or just the torrent download itself (and stop the seed process).

Can't reproduce with trunk here... can you test it with that?

Which version of libktorrent do you have installed?

OK, will do. Meanwhile, libktorrent is 1.1.1

Can you please write what the torrent file is called and what the directory the torrent is being stored to is called?
E.g. "Damn Small Linux 4.4.10.torrent" which then stores the content in "dsl-4.4.10".
What is very important is if these two are the same for you.

Further what is also important is if something is entered for the folders in torrent settings --> "Settings/Configure KGet/Plugin/Bittorent/".

Just tested this with a small torrent and I cannot reproduce. So, all is well now (though I still will be very careful with torrents and kget). Sorry for keeping this alive - please close. Thanks and happy new year!
