Description Maciej Pilichowski 2011-05-20 12:45:54 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

Original report:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=692427

I use UpdateApplet notifier. It always show green gecko icon meaning there are no updates.

However, when I manually start Yast/Update it appears that there are a lot of
updates available.

The bug is twofold:
* no updates shown
* no error about any problems is shown

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Just run UA.

Actual Results:
No updates shown at all.

Expected Results:
Since there are updates available there should be shown (I should be notified about them).

please run pk-con get-updates, the zypp backend has several issues, which I'm trying to find out so I can send a patch to the authors..

a) what this command is supposed to do? __Get__ updates or __show__ updates?

b) there is no such command on my system, there is no such command/package in repos

Oh you said you use UpdaterApplet, sorry you filled a bug against the wrong tool, please reassign to the right one.
Comment 4 Daniel Nicoletti 2012-02-17 01:17:55 UTC
Actually iirc UpdaterApplet is a in house openSUSE tool so you can't reassign as it's not KDE upstream project. And that tool was replaced by Apper, but it does not have a green icon on the tray.
