Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.2) OS: Linux Whenever running a program that goes amok, ie starts using %100 cpu or hard drive, kde will eventually lockup. Example of this would be running an fullscreen game inside virtualbox, and then constantly resizing virtualbox until it starts locking up. When this happens, kde will freeze up with it, after a while, ctrl-alt-f1 does not even work. KDE should launch programs at a lower priority or set critical system and UI priorities higher so that this does not occur. Reproducible: Always

No response; assuming it was fixed since then. FWIW this is currently being worked on in a generic sense with systemd slices and cgroups, which should be released in Plasma 5.21.
