Version: 2.3 (using KDE 4.6.2) OS: Linux Other filters show a preview and work on the current layer. Color to Alpha does not seem to do anything. No matter what I try I could not get it to work on a layer where I accidentally had a white background instead of a transparent one. I tried with a selection or without. Reproducible: Always
Did you select a threshold value different than 0 ?
The filter now works, but I'm not sure if it behaves as intended (I like the GIMP Color-to-Alpha behavior more). Also, this won't work as a filter layer or a filter mask. This is the case with any filter that generates alpha instead of a colored result. Should we close this bug?.
Hm... What's the exact difference? The filter isn't very complicated. The preview thing is very annoying, but we need a new composite op for that which can be used by default with masks.
Hi, Now the color to alpha filter from menu works, excepts that when I apply it, it produces random pixels artefacts all over, although the preview looks ok before I apply. This filter applied using filter mask or layer works ok (so current workaround is to use one of those and flatten layer).
Works here. Can you check if you can still reproduce the bug?
Works here now too, I can't reproduce anymore. 2011/12/27 Sven Langkamp <sven.langkamp@gmail.com> > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=273288 > > > > > > --- Comment #5 from Sven Langkamp <sven langkamp gmail com> 2011-12-27 > 21:08:36 --- > Works here.
