Description Britt Yazel 2011-05-14 15:36:44 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

The pop-up notification window is constantly floating around and not staying locked to my main panel. The notification window started out overlapping my panel, so I moved to to look just perfectly lined up with the bottom touching the top of the panel. This works well while only receiving one message at a time from kopete, but if a second comes in the notification pop-up grows taller to fit the new notification but then shrinks itself upwards instead of downwards when the first, original message disappears. This causes it to un-dock itself from my panel and to now sit 10-15 pixels above the panel.

It also does this for things like file transfers or when I switch to battery power.

Why is the notification window that pops up on messages, warnings, etc, different than the one that sits on my system tray? The system tray notification window is locked in place and cannot be dragged, while the one that pops up on warnings can be dragged anywhere and is VERY ugly. Please consolidate these two into one FUNCTIONAL popup window.

Reproducible: Didn't try
