Description crispin 2011-05-11 12:07:32 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

kded4 uses 100% of core on mobile broadband modem disconnect (Kubuntu 11.04).
Using sakis3g to connect as Network manager applet will not connect Vodafone Huawei modem.
2 kded4 processes are found to be running in system activity.
Some processes won't start or are seriously delayed (amarok / logout) - sometimes system becomes sluggish.
On killing kded4 process, system is returned to normal.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Disconnect mobile broadband modem.

Actual Results:
System Activity shows 100% cpu usage for kded4

Expected Results:
CPU should idle

Network Manager applet removed, as it will not connect vodem, and interferes with Sakis3g.
I also seem to be experiencing the same symptoms intermittently without connecting to the internet, with kded4 and knotify4 using 100% of one core.
