Description Vit Pelcak 2011-05-09 17:58:41 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

I have installed mplayerthumbs, enabled it in Dolphin and thumbnails for videos are not created.

Then I disabled it, installed kffmpegthumbnailer, enabled it, and thumbnails are not created as well.

I tried to debug it, but I just could look into contents of packages, see that some so lib is there and smal readme, which doesn't help much.

How can I debug that issue. Perhaps deletion of some config file might help.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
Install and enable mplayerthumbs or kffmpegthumbnailer

Actual Results:
Thumbnails are not created

Expected Results:
Thumbnails are created

Both thumbnailers work here, so there is a problem with your setup. Please try asking in KDE forums. If you are sure there is a bug, please provide more information, such as Dolphin configuration files, installed FFMPEG codecs or MPlayer version, etc.

How can I debug this? I use mplayer and ffmpeg from medibuntu repoitory.

Which configs should I purge? I have no problem doing so. But so far no success.

Are there some cli tools I could use for debugging or whatever, please?
