Description Liu Qing 2011-05-09 16:00:23 UTC
Version: 2.4.1 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

Actually I am using KDE 4.6.3.I've installed all the packages needed to transfer music to my ipod touch 2gen with fireware 4.2.1 and it works perfect with mp3.But with flac amarok always says "tracks not copied: the device already has these tracks".

I'm using gstreamer as phonon-backend.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
right click on any flac and copy them to device

Actual Results:
tracks not copied: the device already has these tracks

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.38-ARCH
Compiler: gcc

phonon-backend:gstreamer

libimobiledevice 1.1.0-1
libgpod 0.8.0-2
libplist 1.4-1
libmtp 1.0.2-2
ifuse 1.1.1-3
usbmuxd 1.0.6-2

Well, the iPod Touch does not support Flac files. How do you copy exactly, with the transcoding option enabled?

I know the iPod Touch dose not support Flac files. With Amarok 2.4.0 the transcoding option window shows up and after clicking on transcode and copy it came out with the same result.Amarok 2.4.1 don't even show the transcoding option window

Thank you for the feedback.

This is a known issue, fixing it requires further intervention in our media device collection code.

Is this issue being worked on, and if not, is it something you would be interested in receiving a patch for?
Comment 6 Myriam Schweingruber 2012-07-02 09:29:41 UTC
AFAIK this should be already fixed in the upcoming Amarok 2.6, Matej?

Yes, indeed.
