Description Malte S. Stretz 2011-05-09 14:51:24 UTC
Version: 2.0.95 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

After the upgrade from KMail1 to KMail2 I noticed that the settings under Appearance are all (mostly?) set back to the defaults. Under Message Window I have almost all options set to non-default values, that's where I noticed it first. The Default Theme under Message List was set back to Fancy, too.

While most of this stuff is only slightly annoying, there is also the Fallback Encoding setting, which was changed to Arabic (I guess because it is the first element in the drop down list) instead of a sane (as in: matching my system settings/location or being helpful with broken mails) value like ISO 8859-1 or UTF-8.

Reproducible: Didn't try

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.38-8-generic
Compiler: cc

Under Composer I also had a Custom Message-Id Suffix set, that one went amiss, too. Other stuff like the Subject prefixes were converted correctly.

Can't reproduce this bug.

Well, I can't really test this again so I guess we have to assume it is fixed.

Reopen if necessary
