Description Alex Forencich 2011-05-09 02:30:50 UTC
Version: 1.9.0 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

If tags are set to be automatically written to images, adding a tag before the tag writing process is complete causes digikam to hang immediately.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. enable "save image tags as "keywords" tags in metadata embedded in files"
2. add a tag to a large collection of images (say, 20+)
3. before process completes, add second tag - digikam hangs

Actual Results:
digikam hangs, requiring kill and restart

Expected Results:
second tag should be added gracefully without a hang

With digiKam 5.0.0, this problem is not reproducible.
I close this file now. Don't hesitate to re-open if necessary.
