Description Stefan Endrullis 2011-05-07 22:02:48 UTC
Version: 2.3.0 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

I tried to calculate the size of a remote directory (ftp or sftp) in krusader, but krusader 2.3.0-beta1 seems to be unable to do that. When pressing SPACE a popup window showing the calculate "progress" appears, but the number of scanned directories and files as well as the size of the directory remain 0, even after a minute (tested with connection to localhost).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open an ftp or sftp connection. Navigate to an directory. Press SPACE.

Actual Results:
Popup window appears showing the progress of the calculating, but the size stays at 0.

Expected Results:
One would expect that the number of scanned directories and files increase over time.

I was sure that calculating space for remote file systems is unsupported - but it looks like something changed (I can confirm behavior reported). I'll check.

Sure that it was unsupported? It worked already in KDE 3.
