Description Guilherme Fortunato 2011-04-30 22:38:55 UTC
Version: 4.6 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

Whenever I copy a file from an optical media (cd, dvd - don't have blueray) into my home dir or whatever dir I have write access to, the file(s) is copied read only. If I copy a file from a system dir, that I do not have write access to, in to the same location, I can write it. In the same system, natilus and the command line tools do not present this behavior. Tested with dolphin and gwenview.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open dolphin -> goto mounted optical media -> select file(s) -> copy them into any writable dir
Open gwenview -> goto mounted optical media -> view images -> press F7 (Copy to...) -> select any writable dir

Actual Results:
Files copied but me (owner) do not have write access to them. Cannot modify copied files. The ownership of the files is correct, only the permission flags are wrong.

Expected Results:
Made the files writable by me (owner)
