Description Vit Pelcak 2011-04-18 12:08:10 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

It is quite common to close tabs in web browser or elsewhere with middle button (wheel).

I think, that it would come in handy.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open several tabs in Konsole
Wheel-click on any tab

Actual Results:
No tab is closed

Expected Results:
Tab should be closed

It could be handy, but it could also be dangerous.

A accidental wheel-click will easily close a tab in which some important program is running.

Accidentally closing a webpage usually will not cause much damage, because most webpages are stateless. But shell and many programs are not.

I will close this as DUPLICATE, because the same idea has been requested and refused in bug #191751. Additionally, bug #170871 records why that ability has been removed due to an request opposite to this one.
