Version: 2.0.0 (using KDE 4.6.2) OS: Linux As a stress test, started yesterday _two_ processes: 1.) rebuilding all thumbnails 2.) write metadata in all pictures Within the night time, my computer felt into sleeping mode; this morning DK just run further, no stops, no hangers. Of course, it is no good idea because of continously switching read-write access to databases (digikam4.db and thumbnails-digikam.db). In contradiction to earlier runs, I did not experience any faults (did not check pictures). Earlier, I could not run both jobs at the same time. Thank you, Axel Reproducible: Didn't try OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.35-28-generic-pae Compiler: cc

Thanks for the feedback, but I am a bit unsure what to do with this bug... can we just close it without further action?
Christoph, you are right somehow: Wanted to make you aware of that "tress test" of mine. In the meanwhile I installed some updates, so my system changed. This is neither bug nor wish- so far you are right- just close the "bug". A neutral category "informational" or similar is missing, unfortunately. If there is a better way to contribute, please, let me know. Thank you, Axel
There is the mailing list where you can post such comments, for example in digikam-devel@kde.org I will close this bug as UNMAINTAINED since it is no real bugreport. Andi

This problem is not reproducible using current 5.8.0 pre-release bundle available here : https://files.kde.org/digikam/ I close this file now. Re-open it if necessary. Gilles Caulier
