Description Dilip 2011-04-13 16:02:06 UTC
Version:           unspecified (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS:                Linux

i selectively upgraded the okular package from kde v4.6.1-1 to the one in 4.6.2-1. now whenever i try to open any pdf file a msg box pops up saying "unable to find okular component". if i try to report the problem using the inbuilt functionality in kde, it says that the info gathered is not sufficient and closed. This is the insufficient info it gathered

"Application: Okular (okular), signal: Segmentation fault
[KCrash Handler]
#7  0xb67499d1 in QAction::setChecked(bool) () from /usr/lib/libQtGui.so.4
#8  0x0804f196 in _start ()".

i have also upgraded my kernel to 2.6.38-ARCH from 2.6.37-ARCH yesterday(sorry i dont know the exact versions, thats the output of uname -r). also once i reinstalled the okular package from the previous kde version, i was able to open my pdf files.

Reproducible: Always

This means the package provided by your distro is buggy.
Please report the problem to Archlinux.
