Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0) OS: Linux The original bug report was: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=685441 KPackageKit shows entries twice Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE3/openSUSE_11.4/ to your list of package repositories. 2. Start "kpackagekit". 3. In the tab "Install and remove software", you search for "scribus-templates" Actual Results: The package "scribus-templates" is shown twice (see snapshot2.png), both with the same version number (1.2-312.1). The first has 1,2 MB size. The second has 2,2 MB size. Expected Results: It should be shown only 1 entry. The package "scribus-templates" is part of the KDE3 repository. None of the other repositories that I am using provides this package. (I've verified this be removing the KDE3 repository and the package is no longer available.) So the package is only provided by this repository, there are no other versions available. Searching for "scribus-templates" in YaST, I only get 1 result. (With 1,2 MB size). See snapshot3.png. Also, YaST shows that there is only 1 version of this package available, and not various. When I try to install in KPackageKit the second entry (2,2 MB) the dialogs seem to perform the action, but nothing happens. When I verify in YaST if the package has been installed, than YaST shows that the package is not installed. Installing with KPackageKit the first entry (1,2 MB) works fine. Reproducible: Didn't try
Can be reproduced always.
Well this seems to be a backend issue, please run: pkcon search name scribus-templates The result should be the same in KPackageKit
