Version:           1.4.0 (using KDE 4.5.1) 
OS:                Linux

Trying to rename files in the import wizard using a date pattern such as "[date]_test" results in an empty string for the date in the final file name

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Import pictures form cam and select "customize" under "File Renaming Options". In the "options" drop down list select date as pattern for the filename 

Actual Results:  
The date string is empty.

Expected Results:  
Should be something like 201104101023 

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.35-28-generic

Please update to last stable 1.9.0 and try again...

Yes, this was fixed in 1.6 or so

I have the same bug and I'm using version 1.9.0 of Digikam, and KDE 4.6.2.

I'm importing RAW .CR2 files from a Canon 350D camera.
