Version: 4.6 (using KDE 4.6.2) OS: Linux After upgrading from 4.6.1 to 4.6.2 all windows start squashed in a small rectangle in upper left corner of the screen. Most menus and popups also appear in wrong places. The setup has single screen. The problem does not appear on clear user account. Deleting kwinrc does not help. Running compiz instead of kwin changes the behaviour: windows appear normally (except the plasma panel doesn't limit maximized window's area) but menus and popus appear in wrong places like under kwin. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: probably not easily reproducable w/o my settings KDE 4.6.2 from PPA on Kubuntu 10.10
Clicking more settings->Maximize Panel solved the issue for me. Both menus and window placement.
Thanks for the update. I am not really sure what the bug was, but if you can reproduce it, please add a comment.
Created attachment 59068 [details] plasma configuration contents of ~/.kde/share/config
Managed to reproduce on different account with attached configuration. Not shure if it'll happen w/o same plasmoids installed.
