Application: kmail (1.13.6) KDE Platform Version: 4.6.00 (4.6.0) "release 6" Qt Version: 4.7.1 Operating System: Linux 2.6.37.1-1.2-default i686 Distribution: "openSUSE 11.4 (i586)" -- Information about the crash: I opened libre office and saw the stamp button, so I tried it and it brought up th eunconfigured kmail dialog. I left it running. I then started kmail by itself from the desktop, which was unconfigured, and CRASH. I had just done a fresh install of SUSE 11.4 in a virtual machine running under Fedora to test it out. The disc came from Linux Format issue 144. I am an experienced user, there was nothing wrong with my virtual machine and it hadd plenty of resources. -- Backtrace: Application: KMail (kmail), signal: Segmentation fault [KCrash Handler] #6 QMetaObject::changeGuard (ptr=0x82ce748, o=0x0) at kernel/qobject.cpp:470 #7 0xb6397c31 in operator= (this=0x82ce748, action=0x8296e98, action_e=QAction::Trigger, self=true) at ../../src/corelib/kernel/qpointer.h:68 #8 QMenuPrivate::activateAction (this=0x82ce748, action=0x8296e98, action_e=QAction::Trigger, self=true) at widgets/qmenu.cpp:1098 #9 0xb6398ad5 in QMenu::mouseReleaseEvent (this=0x82d82a8, e=0xbf918e54) at widgets/qmenu.cpp:2301 #10 0xb747155c in KMenu::mouseReleaseEvent (this=0x82d82a8, e=0xbf918e54) at /usr/src/debug/kdelibs-4.6.0/kdeui/widgets/kmenu.cpp:458 #11 0xb5f405b0 in QWidget::event (this=0x82d82a8, event=0xbf918e54) at kernel/qwidget.cpp:8200 #12 0xb6398ffc in QMenu::event (this=0x82d82a8, e=0xbf918e54) at widgets/qmenu.cpp:2410 #13 0xb5ee5414 in QApplicationPrivate::notify_helper (this=0x8094c60, receiver=0x82d82a8, e=0xbf918e54) at kernel/qapplication.cpp:4445 #14 0xb5eeec20 in QApplication::notify (this=0xbf918b6c, receiver=0x82d82a8, e=0xbf918e54) at kernel/qapplication.cpp:4006 #15 0xb74ac1f1 in KApplication::notify (this=0xbf919770, receiver=0x82d82a8, event=0xbf918e54) at /usr/src/debug/kdelibs-4.6.0/kdeui/kernel/kapplication.cpp:311 #16 0xb5c69fde in QCoreApplication::notifyInternal (this=0xbf919770, receiver=0x82d82a8, event=0xbf918e54) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:732 #17 0xb5ee645c in sendSpontaneousEvent (receiver=0x82d82a8, event=0xbf918e54, alienWidget=0x0, nativeWidget=0x82d82a8, buttonDown=0xb6857c00, lastMouseReceiver=..., spontaneous=true) at ../../src/corelib/kernel/qcoreapplication.h:218 #18 QApplicationPrivate::sendMouseEvent (receiver=0x82d82a8, event=0xbf918e54, alienWidget=0x0, nativeWidget=0x82d82a8, buttonDown=0xb6857c00, lastMouseReceiver=..., spontaneous=true) at kernel/qapplication.cpp:3103 #19 0xb5f72206 in QETWidget::translateMouseEvent (this=0x82d82a8, event=0xbf91936c) at kernel/qapplication_x11.cpp:4372 #20 0xb5f7113e in QApplication::x11ProcessEvent (this=0xbf919770, event=0xbf91936c) at kernel/qapplication_x11.cpp:3442 #21 0xb5f9b960 in x11EventSourceDispatch (s=0x8093fa0, callback=0, user_data=0x0) at kernel/qguieventdispatcher_glib.cpp:146 #22 0xb3c1e509 in g_main_context_dispatch () from /lib/libglib-2.0.so.0 #23 0xb3c1ed10 in ??
