Description Mark 2011-04-07 00:22:38 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

Hello,
would you consider adding kmobiletools to kdebase?

All the smartphones and tablets are hype now and I think being able to sync,backup,up/download and send sms from their phones would appeal to most users.

I've seen KBluedevil being integrated (which I'm glad for) for bluetooth, so this dependency will be fulfilled already and most new users who don't know about it will be able to use it with kde.

Also kmobiletools would receive much more needed testing.
Cheers, Marek

Reproducible: Didn't try

First of all, sorry for the late answer.

Actually, kmobiletools is not really maintained anymore. I wanted to take over the development but I wouldn't be able to finish the project by myself alone. Since I did not archive to form a new development team, I have stopped hacking on the code.

If anyone should be interested in finishing the port, I could give access to anyone willing to contribute. The app is really nice and it's quite a fun to hack on it. Kmobiletools is about 80% complete, it is a pity to throw the code away.

Regards,
Quentin

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been
unmaintained for many years and I will be closing this bug.
