Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.1) OS: Linux There doesn't appear to be a way of selecting the printer tray when printing. My current printer, an HP 2300d, has three trays, a manual tray, a regular tray, and an optional 250-sheet tray on the bottom. I want to put different types of paper in the two 250-sheet trays, and be able to select the tray when printing. There's no way to do that at all right now when printing from KDE apps. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Hook up a decent multi-tray laser printer and try to print something. Actual Results: No way to select paper tray. Expected Results: Some way of selecting paper tray to print to. KDE will never be usable in an office if this piece of functionality is not present.
Sorry but this isn't the right place to fill this kind of bug. print-manager manages printers not printing or print-dialog. KDE is usable in any office with a printer that does have a decent driver that suport this funcionality, if your printer driver had this feature you'd have seem it. Probably the best place to complain is with hplip. Best
I see this feature just fine in GNOME/Gtk applications, but not KDE applications.
ok, can you provide your printer PPD and a screenshot of the feature in gnome? though I'm not resposible for the print dialog but I can take a look and maybe forward to the right place
Reassigning to print-dialog component in kdelibs
