Version: 4.5.3 (using KDE 4.6.0) OS: Linux Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Using the investment view on an existing investment account one cannot right click and use 'New investment' or 'Edit investment' because both options are grayed out. Actual Results: Actions are disabled Expected Results: Actions should be enabled
Only happens, if the selected account is not an investment account and that is correct.
(In reply to comment #1) > Only happens, if the selected account is not an investment account and that is > correct. But if I'm in Investment view, wouldn't the only accounts be investment accounts? Be that as it may, I can't reproduce whatever condition/problem I thought I had. That is, unless I was on the Securities tab, where right click on an entry does nothing. I think the edit button may have been out of my field of vision, but usually, right clicking an entry produces a context menu. No big deal though.
I was able to duplicate the problem by having a general asset account as the parent of an investment account. Then opening the investment view selected the asset account in the combo box. In this case, the new action is disabled. Once you select the investment account it is available which makes sense to me.
