When needing privilege escalation, in most cases the root passord dialog appears hidden beneath the already opened windows. You have to raise it manually (if you observ it in the taskbar).

Reproducible: Sometimes




Is this a QT issue ?

It is a design flaw in KAuth. The authorization dialog is not modal to the application that requests the authorization.

Is a KAuth bug already opened with this issue so we can mark this as a dupe ?

or at least change the product, because plasma is wrong, but i couldn't find the kauth product on bko

"plasma" product is ok and the component seems to be "widget-kickoff", but I don't have enough privileges to modify it ...

Changing to policykit as I think the change has to be done there.

Still happening in 4.11.3 with polkit-kde-agent-1-0.99.0. This bug should be fixed as it has been around for a long time.
