Application: nspluginviewer () KDE Platform Version: 4.6.1 (4.6.1) Qt Version: 4.7.2 Operating System: Linux 2.6.35-25-generic-phc x86_64 Distribution: Ubuntu Natty (development branch) -- Information about the crash: - What I was doing when the application crashed: Ark crashes on opening of a zipped xls file. At the moment, my office suite is libreoffice, which doesn't start up properly (bug #726252). The lo splash screen appears, both localc and ark crash (but only ark reports a valid crash). Moreover, the file seems to be launched via nspluginviewer, which I think is not the proper application for xls files. The crash can be reproduced every time. -- Backtrace: Application: nspluginviewer (nspluginviewer), signal: Segmentation fault [KCrash Handler] #6 __strstr_sse2 (haystack_start=0x51 <Address 0x51 out of bounds>, needle_start=0x7fef1b4c8174 "Content-Disposition:") at ../string/strstr.c:63 #7 0x00007fef1b4c60b7 in NPP_NewStream () from /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/mozplugger.so #8 0x000000000040b5f9 in NSPluginInstance::NPNewStream (this=<value optimized out>, type=<value optimized out>, stream=<value optimized out>, seekable=<value optimized out>, stype=<value optimized out>) at ../../../nsplugins/viewer/nsplugin.cpp:1210 #9 0x000000000040d6ed in NSPluginStreamBase::inform (this=0x20e6940) at ../../../nsplugins/viewer/nsplugin.cpp:1629 #10 0x000000000040dcc9 in NSPluginStreamBase::pump (this=0x20e6940) at ../../../nsplugins/viewer/nsplugin.cpp:1745 #11 0x000000000040dd74 in NSPluginStream::data (this=0x20e6940, data=<value optimized out>) at ../../../nsplugins/viewer/nsplugin.cpp:1966 #12 0x000000000040e00f in NSPluginStream::qt_metacall (this=0x20e6940, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=<value optimized out>, _a=0x7fffd1491770) at ./nsplugin.moc:149 #13 0x00007fef28ccf5f8 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x20e34b0, m=<value optimized out>, local_signal_index=<value optimized out>, argv=0x7fffd1491770) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3287 #14 0x00007fef2a8ad6e4 in KIO::TransferJob::data (this=<value optimized out>, _t1=0x20e34b0, _t2=<value optimized out>) at ./jobclasses.moc:388 #15 0x00007fef2a8ad748 in KIO::TransferJob::slotData (this=0x20e34b0, _data=...) at ../../kio/kio/job.cpp:1009 #16 0x00007fef2a8b5166 in KIO::TransferJob::qt_metacall (this=0x20e34b0, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=<value optimized out>, _a=0x7fffd1491900) at ./jobclasses.moc:368 #17 0x00007fef28ccf5f8 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x20e34d0, m=<value optimized out>, local_signal_index=<value optimized out>, argv=0x7fffd1491900) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3287 #18 0x00007fef2a94ef32 in KIO::SlaveInterface::data (this=<value optimized out>, _t1=<value optimized out>) at ./slaveinterface.moc:146 #19 0x00007fef2a952070 in KIO::SlaveInterface::dispatch (this=<value optimized out>, _cmd=100, rawdata=...) at ../../kio/kio/slaveinterface.cpp:161 #20 0x00007fef2a94ea05 in KIO::SlaveInterface::dispatch (this=0x20e34d0) at ../../kio/kio/slaveinterface.cpp:89 #21 0x00007fef2a9423de in KIO::Slave::gotInput (this=0x20e34d0) at ../../kio/kio/slave.cpp:348 #22 0x00007fef2a942a2c in KIO::Slave::qt_metacall (this=0x20e34d0, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=<value optimized out>, _a=0x7fffd1491ce0) at ./slave.moc:82 #23 0x00007fef28ccf5f8 in QMetaObject::activate (sender=0x20e2610, m=<value optimized out>, local_signal_index=<value optimized out>, argv=0x0) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3287 #24 0x00007fef2a87cd17 in KIO::ConnectionPrivate::dequeue (this=0x20e18d0) at ../../kio/kio/connection.cpp:82 #25 0x00007fef2a87cdbd in KIO::Connection::qt_metacall (this=0x20e2610, _c=QMetaObject::InvokeMetaMethod, _id=<value optimized out>, _a=0x1fb7ae0) at ./connection.moc:79 #26 0x00007fef28cce49a in QObject::event (this=0x20e2610, e=<value optimized out>) at kernel/qobject.cpp:1226 #27 0x00007fef296799e4 in QApplicationPrivate::notify_helper (this=0x1f6d460, receiver=0x20e2610, e=0x1fb6d90) at kernel/qapplication.cpp:4462 #28 0x00007fef2967e3aa in QApplication::notify (this=<value optimized out>, receiver=0x20e2610, e=0x1fb6d90) at kernel/qapplication.cpp:4341 #29 0x00007fef2a398866 in KApplication::notify (this=0x7fffd1492860, receiver=0x20e2610, event=0x1fb6d90) at ../../kdeui/kernel/kapplication.cpp:311 #30 0x00007fef28cba49c in QCoreApplication::notifyInternal (this=0x7fffd1492860, receiver=0x20e2610, event=0x1fb6d90) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:731 #31 0x00007fef28cbdc25 in sendEvent (receiver=0x0, event_type=0, data=0x1ef6b60) at ../../include/QtCore/../../src/corelib/kernel/qcoreapplication.h:215 #32 QCoreApplicationPrivate::sendPostedEvents (receiver=0x0, event_type=0, data=0x1ef6b60) at kernel/qcoreapplication.cpp:1372 #33 0x00007fef28ce5253 in sendPostedEvents (s=0x1f721c0) at ../../include/QtCore/../../src/corelib/kernel/qcoreapplication.h:220 #34 postEventSourceDispatch (s=0x1f721c0) at kernel/qeventdispatcher_glib.cpp:277 #35 0x00007fef2aca6bcd in g_main_context_dispatch () from /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libglib-2.0.so.0 #36 0x00007fef2aca73a8 in ?? The crash seems to be inside the /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/mozplugger.so plugin, which is not a KDE product
(In reply to comment #1) > The crash seems to be inside the /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/mozplugger.so > plugin, which is not a KDE product Is there any solution?
