Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.1) OS: Linux When I select the Column Grid for the Icon view, if I enable grouping, the grid reverts to Row, and each row spans only one column. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select Configure Dolphin. 2. Select Visualization Modes | Grid Ordering: Columns. 3. Enable Grouping. Actual Results: The group dividers don't respect the Columns setting. The result is a n rows x 1 column grid, in which files are displayed. Expected Results: The group dividers respect columns. Files are displayed in columns of icons, as before.
Killed with Dolphin 2. FIXED IN KDE 4.8 BETA 1.
Dolphin is fixed because it no longer uses the KCategorizedView. That doesn't mean the bug in KCategorizedView (kedlibs) is fixed. Reopening.
(In reply to Christoph Feck from comment #2) > Dolphin is fixed because it no longer uses the KCategorizedView. That doesn't > mean the bug in KCategorizedView (kedlibs) is fixed. Reopening. Where else is it used Christoph so I can confirm if still an issue?
It is used in systemsettings. I am sure the non-QtQuick view modes are now obsolete or even disabled. Not sure, I have long stopped using systemsettings. According to lxr.kde.org, KCategorizedView is also used in Kexi, Amarok, Konversation, Apper, Palapeli, and KGet, but I don't know if these use the grouping modes.
