I have not seen this for a long time, has it been fixed delibarately, or did it just disappear?

Not from me...

In fact, slideshow is disabled/enabled with current icon-view items selection.

Sometime in the pass, i see this dysfunction appear. This depand how many items are selected. It's probably a race condition between digiKam kipi-interface, libkipi, and plugin.

I cannot reproduce it, also.

But perhaps another peoples can confirm the fix.

New Kipi-plugins 4.11.0 is available :

https://www.digikam.org/node/740

Can you reproduce the problem with this release ?

Since the tool is moved to digiKam core with 5.0.0 release, this
problem is not reproducible.
