Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.1) OS: Linux The new search bar is great when trying to do a single search. The problem arises when you want to save the search for future use. The two obvious ways to do this are to add the search to the places panel. The problem is that when you do this you get a folder that brings up the search bar again. If you try to close the search bar, it shows you the folder you were in when you started the search. There is no obvious and simple way to convert the search into an ordinary folder that displays the search results. I suggest that when you add a search to the place panel, it automatically strips out the search bar and instead makes it look and behave like an ordinary folder. Reproducible: Always
Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719
The search bar has to be there to show that it's a search. The thing is, it's *not* just an ordinary folder; it's a saved search.
