Description Ralf Jung 2011-03-22 18:25:21 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.5)
OS: Linux

KDE NetworkManager is unable to use a private key that is encrypted with a password: Instead of asking me for the password, I get this in the logfiles:

<warn> VPN connection 'VPN Name' (IP Config Get) timeout exceeded.
ERROR: could not read Private Key username/password/ok/string from management interface

This makes it impossible for me to use the OpenVPN module of network manager.
Also see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-openvpn/+bug/547189 and https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=638371

Reproducible: Always
