Description Clemens Eisserer 2011-03-21 15:01:19 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

In "System Settings" I can specify a preferred audio device for input and output.

I have configured my laptop to switch to the external usb soundcard if its detected and it works great.

However kmix completly ignores this setting - if I had the internal soundcard in use and plug in my USB device its master channel is still set to "Internal Audio" and I have to manually adjust each time.

It would be great if kmix could honor the preference settings from KDE's System settings.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Prefer your USB soundcard over the internal one in System settings
2. Start without the usb device
3. Listen music
4. Plugin the usb device
5. Sound automatically switches to the USB :), however kmix's volume regulator still changes the internal's sound card volume :/
