Description Dotan Cohen 2011-03-20 19:21:20 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

Often PDF and other format files have numbers on each page, which do not match the "real" page numbers that Okular shows at the bottom of the UI. Please add an option to "renumber" Okular's page number display so that it can be configured to match the page numbers in the file's pages.

Yes, I understand that this will cause files to have "negative" page numbers when the feature is used.

Reproducible: Always

Isn't that just another case of "make okular work with different labels for the pages"?
Comment 2 Dotan Cohen 2011-03-20 21:57:21 UTC
I'm not sure, Pino. I've just gone through all the Okular 0.12.1 (KDE 4.6) options in English and not found that, and googling it I don't see a bug or a reference to that either. If you can point me to a bug or something else I'll take a look.

Thanks.

Take the TOC, for example: do you see any label on the right of each item that it is different than the real page number?
If so, this looks like #187237.

You're right, Pino, thanks!

I've often wished the BKO search would just telephone you and let you return the right search result!
