Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0) OS: Linux I have activated the device automounter and the option "Mount all removable media at login" recently in the System Settings. Since then I get ask for a password for a LUKS device which is already opened and mounted during boot. If I deactivate the option "Mount all removable media at loging" the problem disappears. So the device automounter should check if an device is already opened or mounted before trying to auto mount. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. make sure that you have a LUKS device which is automounted during boot with crypttab 2. enable automatic mounting of removable media 3. activate the option "Mount all removable media at login" 4. restart Actual Results: You get asked for a password for the LUKS device during KDE start. Expected Results: The KDE device mounter should realize that the device/partition is already mounted and don't ask for a password. Since the home partition is encrypted there is no way that the device wasn't ready during the KDE seesion loading.
Created attachment 58928 [details] dolphin, luks, encrypted container
same problem here. like you i get a password prompt, although luks device got already mounted via crypttab/fstab. odd thing is, i only get one prompt, but i have three luks devices. i think there could be some bug in recognition of unopened/opened luks container. in my case two of three (opened) luks devices get recognized correctly. the third one were still displayed as "Encrypted Container" in dolphin (see above attachment).
