Version: 4.4.5 (using KDE 4.4.5) OS: Linux I store my groupware data (contacts, etc.) on my IMAP server using Kolab2 and the groupware functionality of Kontact. When I add new contacts to my addressbook (and thereby to the respective IMAP folder) on computer A and then refresh the folder contents with KMail on computer B, I cannot see the newly added contacts in the contact list on computer B. The new emails in the contacts folder, however, appear as expected. Deleting the addressbook and re-adding it solves the problem, but for obvious reasons can only be viewed as a temporary workaround. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Add a contact to the kolab folder on machine A, refresh the folder on machine B. Actual Results: The new contact does not appear in the contact list. Expected Results: It should appear.
Is this bug still valid with kdepim > 4.7 ?
I think I'm still having this bug on 4.7.1 (OpenSUSE RPMs). I have had difficulty syncing changes made in Kontact back to the IMAP server, but I can't reproduce or even test it now, as the Kolab stuff isn't working at all at the moment (ie: address book etc disappeared again). Steve
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
