Version: 0.9 (using KDE 4.6.1) OS: Linux As of KDE 4.6.1,I can no longer create a calendar that will sync with Google Calendar. The steps I try are: Add Calendar -> Akonadi (allows access to blabla) -> manage calendar resources -> Add -> Akonadi Google Calendar resource -> I fill in my Google email address and password -> close -> OK. Then nothing happens for a while. An error message appears "Cannot create calendar". On the console, the following message appears: Loading items for collection (id= 154 , remoteId= "google-calendar" failed: "Unknown error. (Unable to fetch item from backend)" In .local/share/akonadi/akonadiserver.error the corresponding error message appears: ItemRetrieverException : Unable to retrieve item from resource: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. I have verified all the basics: userid/password are correct, there is a network connection that goes out to a Google server on port 443 (and some traffic coming back), I have the latest version of akonadi-kde-resource-googledata. The same happens between Google Contacts and KAddressBook. I can create an Akonadi Google Contacts addressbook, but it will not sync. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Try to add a calendar, as described above. Actual Results: error message, no calendar created Expected Results: calendar created, in sync with Google Calendar OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.35-27-generic Compiler: cc

This happens here too, with the following package versions: akonadi-backend-mysql 1.5.1-1 akonadi-kde-resource-googledata 1.1.0-1 akonadi-server 1.5.1-1 libgcal0 0.9.6-1 … altough I tested libgcal with the examples from their homepage and it doesn't seem to be the culprit.
Bug 264861 is the same
