Version: 2.0.2 (using KDE 4.6.0) OS: Linux I told K3b to extract digital audio from my CD-DA disc. Extraction failed after 4 hours of grinding. I tried the same thing with GNU cd-paranoia and it worked. It did have problems, it ran for 30 minutes and produced audio with noise where the disc is damaged, but it extracted the whole sound without breaking abruptly in the middle. Of course, the command-line tool is much less convenient than K3b in that it does not encode sound and it does not handle metadata, but still it is better to use something that does the basic thing right. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Put my (slightly scratched) CD to my CD-ROM. 2. Tell K3b to extract digital audio from it. 3. Wait. Actual Results: 3. K3b fails after 4 hours of grinding at track 3, offset 6:28. Expected Results: 3. K3b should give up that location but continue extracting. OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.37.1-1.2-desktop Compiler: gcc
