Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0) OS: Linux The game was extremely sluggish to begin with, particularly with the Egyptian theme. After I added the command line parameter '--graphicssystem raster' (never needed before) it became playable. There is still a somewhat longer keyboard latency than in earlier versions. Oddly enbough, keyboard responsiveness seemed to be somewhat better in the new "play against AI" mode. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Install OpenSuse 11.4 with KDE 4.6 (and with KBlocks 0.3), then play KBlocks. Actual Results: The game was very sluggish compared to earlier versions - in single player mode and with the Egyptian theme it was downright unplayable. Expected Results: Keyboard responsiveness should not deteriorate compared to older versions. This bug supersedes bug 268528, part 1 - as it would appear that combined bug reports are unhandy in the bug tracking process.
It's happening to me too. I'm using 0.3.1 version and only happens on Egyptian theme.
On oxygen theme the speed is ok, but it is eating my cpu. I have a core i5 and it's ocupping 60% of processing, and 50% of X. Is it normal?
Using kblocks --graphicssystem raster with Oxygen theme fixes the slowness response and abnormal use of CPU.
Ubuntu 11.04 KDE 4.6.2 KBlocks is very slow on my PC too. "--graphicssystem raster" makes it much faster.
