A reinstall does not fix this. Disabling ZeroConf fixes this.
KDNSSD problem
Created attachment 62738 [details] New crash information added by DrKonqi ktorrent (4.1.1) on KDE Platform 4.7.00 (4.7.0) using Qt 4.7.3 KTorrent crashes on startup every time, even if i remove all KDE settings. indeed, i have KTorrent compiled with Zeroconf support. recompiling without Zeroconf resolves the problem. how do i disable Zeroconf for KTorrent at runtime? is this in fact a KTorrent bug, or should i file this elsewhere? -- Backtrace (Reduced): #7 QDBusAbstractInterface::callWithArgumentList (this=0x0, mode=QDBus::Block, method=..., args=...) at qdbusabstractinterface.cpp:406 #8 0x00007feb51c67e9a in OrgFreedesktopAvahiEntryGroupInterface::Reset (this=0x0) at /var/tmp/portage/kde-base/kdelibs-4.7.0-r1/work/kdelibs-4.7.0/dnssd/avahi_entrygroup_interface.h:94 #9 0x00007feb51c6745c in DNSSD::PublicServicePrivate::serverStateChanged (this=0x27ec410, s=<optimized out>) at /var/tmp/portage/kde-base/kdelibs-4.7.0-r1/work/kdelibs-4.7.0/dnssd/avahi-publicservice.cpp:203 #10 0x00007feb51c6754e in DNSSD::PublicService::publishAsync (this=<optimized out>) at /var/tmp/portage/kde-base/kdelibs-4.7.0-r1/work/kdelibs-4.7.0/dnssd/avahi-publicservice.cpp:230 #11 0x00007feb4f68b753 in kt::TorrentService::start (this=0x28ec4a0) at /var/tmp/portage/net-p2p/ktorrent-4.1.1/work/ktorrent-4.1.1/plugins/zeroconf/torrentservice.cpp:83
