Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.1) OS: Linux I'm running ubuntu maverick. I installed kubuntu desktop with gdm to see if kde 4.6.1 is ready to return (switched to gmome until kde4 was coocked more. Nice, want to switch, but select text with mouse double click doesn't work in chrome or firefox, but works in konsole and kate. If I login with gnome, it works in chrome and firefox. I tried different mice, reinstalling kubuntu desktop, removing ~/.kde, change mouse setting to double click, and searching every config I can find. I went and downloaded the kubuntu iso, created a startup disk on thumb drive and booted (try kubuntu). I ran firefox and double click select text doesn't work. This seems to be some default setting some where or a bug. I searched and don't fine anyone else having the problem, but it's only been out a short time. If anyone can tell me where to look (files, xev, xinput, etc.) I can script a workaround fix. Thank for any advise, Jon Reproducible: Didn't try
> If anyone can tell me where to look You might better ask in a forum, not in a bug tracker. Remember that neither Chrome nor Firefox are KDE applications, in other words, their behavior should not change depending on KDE configuration. If you have further information that indicates there is a bug in KDE, please add them to this bug.
