Version: 2.0.0 (using KDE 4.6.1) OS: Linux I can't get libkface to build in a stable environment and thus am unable to build digikam at all since it now relies on this component. Since I don't care about face detection at all (I am purely a nature photographer and don't photograph people at all) it is of no value to me (it's cluttering the interface, so I'd love to disable it even if I were able to build it). So please make the reliance on that component a soft one... Reproducible: Didn't try
>I can't get libkface to build in a stable environment WHY ? Do you tried this way : http://www.digikam.org/drupal/download?q=download/KDE4 Gilles Caulier
I can't get openCV to compile in my environment and thus can't get libkface.
install opencv devel package... Which distro you use ? Gilles Caulier
@Gilles, I use Gentoo and OpenCV doesn't compile for me unless I lift some restrictions on other packages that I can't lift because of commercial packages I have to use for my work environment. Thus OpenCV is out of the question - I can't use it and as I already said in my request: I have no use whatsoever for face detection - thus I would disable it anyway given the chance even if I could compile libkface...
