If you close a chat window and you just received a message, you get a nice notification that you may miss something. When closing the conversation with a file progress pending (i.e you have not yet accepted/declined) there is no such notification and the thing is just cancelled. (I don‘t know if a running transfer is cancelled once you close the window) There should be a similar message saying “Hey! You missed a file

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
