I had ~700 messages in a local folder, selected them al and chose right click > apply filters > all filters. After that kmail was blocked for some minutes, then began to filter and finally after filtering finished the UI was unblocked again.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Since virtuoso-t is hugging one core it might as well be that it is the cause for blocking kmail.

right clicking and "synchronise folder" does help for some but not for others.

Hej,

the filtering is put in a separated process in master now, so it shouldn't block the KMail UI any longer.
