Version:           unspecified (using KDE 4.5.5) 
OS:                Linux

Setting of kwallet is kept, when I will reinstall kwallet.
Setting of kwallet is kept again, when I will reinstall KDE.
Setting of kwallet isn't kept, when I will reinstall system and format disk partition mounted like /home.

In the documentation (krusader_bookmarks.pot):
The downside here is that if you --> reinstall <-- and do not backup your passwords from the wallet as well as &krusader;'s bookmark file, something will be lost.
