Description Peer Heinlein 2011-02-28 09:40:45 UTC
Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.4.0)
OS: Linux

KMail detects and stores the imap namespace in the server configuration.

Unfortunately kmail doesn't detect changes on the imap-namespace later on. If sometimes the imap-server changes from the delimiter "." to "/" kmail's still using "Inbox.Drafts" instead of "INBOX/Drafts".

That's very difficult for users to detect the problem.

IMO Kmail should detect the imap-namespace on every login. The imap-namespace can change!

Reproducible: Always

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.34.7-0.7-default
Compiler: gcc

Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report.

KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2.

We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback.
