Description Anders Lund 2011-02-27 21:12:14 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

Trying to use marble to create a route have stopped working. There is a small spinning animation on the "get directions" button.

It would be nice if it would give up after some time (like a minute at most), and some sort of error message - did connecting to a online service fail? Something else known? Some means for backing out would be smart too.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
try to create a route from A to B (both addresses are found)

Actual Results:
spinning animation on button forever

Expected Results:
visual route in marble

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.37-ARCH
Compiler: gcc

http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=1226963 fixes it in SVN trunk. There are no error details yet, but I might add that later. Spinning stops though and you get a "No route" label in red.

I'll intend to backport it to Marble 1.1 and 1.0 (KDE 4.6). Just waiting a couple of days to find possible regressions, if any.

Can you describe your setup a bit more to fix the underlying problem? Which routing backends are enabled? Is Marble set to offline mode? Which country are you calculating a route in?
