Description Magnus Bergmark 2011-02-27 14:30:02 UTC
Version: 2.15 (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

If the "Open destination directory" option is enabled in the "Extract..." dialog, dragging files will open the user's HOME directory after unpacking is finished.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open any archive and press "Extract to..."
2. Enable "Open destination directory"
3. Unpack archive to any place
4. Open any archive again
5. Drag a file to an open Dolphin window

Actual Results:
File appears in the window it was dropped. Another Dolphin window opens containing the user's $HOME.

Expected Results:
File should appear; no additional window should open.

I am using a different locale than English, so some instructions here could be wrong.

Ark actually reports 2.16, but 2.15 was the newest choice on Bugzilla.

The problem has been present since 4.0 (and maybe earlier).
