Description bugzilla 2011-02-27 10:58:05 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.5)
OS: Linux

At the same time as i upgraded from KMyMoney 4.5.2 to KMyMoney 4.5.3 I also switched file storage to database storage (MySQL), so I am not sure exactly which is the reason for this bug.

I use Ubuntu 10.10 and the binaries I use come from this repository:
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/claydoh/kmymoney2-kde4/ubuntu maverick main

The actual problem is that Reports don't care about my Category-settings anymore. No matter which Categories I choose to show in the finished report, it always shows ALL categories.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open a report (preferably under the Transactions tree). Press "Configure" and try changing what categories to include in the report. No matter what i choose here, the resulting report always includes ALL categories (there are no filtering anymore...).

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.35-24-generic
Compiler: cc

I tried to duplicate this in SVN HEAD using the file backend with no avail. Everything works as expected. Maybe someone with a database can try to duplicate this problem.

I tried saving my database to file, and opened the file. Now everything works fine, so it is obviously something wrong when using database storage.

I also tried to open the database with the option "Preload all data", but it didn't make any difference. The error was still there.

Could someone from the DB guys take a look at this? Thanks.

Sorry I did not get to this sooner. I just tried with SVN current as of 2011-05-22 with the QPSQL7 driver. The category selection I make is honored for me in the report.

I doubt it is a QMYSQL specific problem, but it is worth looking into. Tony, can you test?

I tried with 4.4.4 and mysql and couldn't see any problem, except that transactions which were split, with some categories deselected in the configure, would still display all splits.

Is this what the OP means?

Please reopen if you still see this problem in 4.6.0 or later
