Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.4) OS: MS Windows The spell check in Kile (version 2.0.86) does not work. I have selected the auto check in Configure Kile --> Editor --> editing --> spellcheck, also enabled the "data tools" in extension manager. But when I write articles in Kile, it just does nothing! I type wrong spelled words manually, no any tip or correction, even I click "tools --> spelling", pop-out window says "Spell check complete" but with nothing changed with the wrong words. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: tools --> spelling Actual Results: nothing happened Expected Results: auto correct the wrong spelled words or give suggestions.
Can you maybe double-check that you have actually installed any dictionaries? Also, did you install the MSVC or MinGW packages?

Instructions for installing Kile on Windows can be found here: http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/kile/index.php?title=KileOnWindows Actually, for best results (with Kile), it is recommended to install the MSVC packages. If I remember correctly, there were some issue with spell checking regarding the MinGW packages.
Can you please update to the latest KDE for Windows release and check whether the problem still occurs? Thanks.
