Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0) OS: Linux (Maybe related to file kio slave instead of dolphin directly) I am really getting used to Nepomuk and I love its advantages. However, since I have my info panel hidden (small screen on the notebook) and often am using split view to copy files over, to tag my files, I need to right click the file, choose Properties and then Infos and there click on Add comment or Add tag. Those two crucial things for a semantic desktop should really go to the file‘s context menu as well, so you just right click your file, choose Tags and in the resulting window check three tags, add another two and you‘re all set. Reproducible: Always
Since those stuff is (I think) handles in kdelibs in the kfile thingie, maybe this can be considered for kdelibs 5.0/frameworks branch. (Please re-assign this to kdelibs, thanks)
Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719
This is quite old but possibly still valid for those with a small screen (and not enough space for the Information panel). However, I think a better solution is fixing the tooltips (see bug #352276). This way we would avoid adding more clutter to the context menu. @Kai: what do you think?
Tooltips have been fixed: https://cgit.kde.org/dolphin.git/commit/?id=230fe13d1fccf8c2ab09c0873c1cc4c733cfc3b4 So it is now possible to use Tags and Comments even without Information panel visible. I think we can close this wish...
