Description Fabian B. 2011-02-23 08:22:19 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

when you are in workspace mode for your desktop and set a widget (plasmoid) near the screenedges (or outside the screen) this widget will slide back to your screen.
in folderview-desktop you can set all widgets outside the screen and it will not slide back, which is bad.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
switch your desktop mode to folderview
add a new widget
drag this widget over a screen edge - outside your desktop

Actual Results:
the widget will be outside forever and you will be not able to delet or change them

Expected Results:
it should slide back to your desktop like it is in all other Plasma-modes

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.37-02063701-generic
Compiler: cc

I am able to reproduce this on KDE 4.7.4 on Fedora 16.

Hello!

This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable.

Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting

If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging

Thanks for your understanding!

Nate Graham
