- What I was doing when the application crashed:

Exiting from KAlarm by clicking on the tray icon and selecting "Exit" and confirming my exit when prompted. Was then prompted by the KDE crash reporter that it had crashed and it also effected VLC's playback quality while I was watching a film.

This definitely looks the same issue as bug 234484 - the crash occurs in the KIO::Scheduler destructor when QDBus is called, and VLC is also involved.
