Description Philipp Schmidt 2011-02-21 16:17:11 UTC
Application: amarok (2.4-GIT)
KDE Platform Version: 4.6.00 (4.6.0)
Qt Version: 4.7.1
Operating System: Linux 2.6.37-ARCH x86_64
Distribution (Platform): Archlinux Packages

-- Information about the crash:
Amarok 2.4.0 and 2.4-git both crash when compiled against current Archlinux Mysql 5.5.9 packages. Seems to be the same problem as in Bug 252424. Since this happens with 5.5.9 and not 5.5.8 I created a new report.

Debug output is the following:

$ amarok -d
KGlobal::locale::Warning your global KLocale is being recreated with a valid main component instead of a fake component, this usually means you tried to call i18n related functions before your main component was created. You should not do that since it most likely will not work

No need to create a new report against Amarok, it is the same problem and the problem is with MySQL, not with Amarok. Please report this upstream.
